Important Travel Notice Deadlines:
December 31, 2006 Passports will be required for travel to Mexico and Canada by sea or air. December 31, 2007 Passport will be required for all border crossings, ie. land, air and sea. The U.S. will phase in a new rule requiring its citizens to use a passport to re-enter the country from Canada, Mexico, Panama, Bermuda and the Caribbean, authorities announced Tuesday, April 5, 2005. The U.S. is attempting to tighten border security and will phase in the requirement during the next three years. |
